Saksun

_DSC0080

The village of Saksun in the Faroe Islands has a kind of fairy tale feel to it. Most people take a photo of the church and the seawater lagoon. I walked along the road and climbed down to get a different perspective. I think if I ever get a big dog I’ll call it ‘Saksun’. “Here Saksun, come here Saksun!”. It sounds good to me. The Faroe Islands

_DSC0011
A collection of 18 islands in the North Atlantic ocean between Iceland and Great Britain. The photo was taken in the capital city Torshavn which has a population of about 19,000 people.┬áThe Faroe Islands are rugged and rocky with some low peaks; the coasts are mostly cliffs. It’s a beautiful place to visit and explore with a camera. Click on the image to see a larger version.
